The bag comes with a cotton sail bag, which is a nice touch. I loaded the leather bag with towels and stored it in the sail bag for a month while I was away from home. Pulling the bag from the sail bag produced a rich leather smell. I measured the leather in several places and it consistently measured ~2mm thick. The leather is flexible and feels great. I'm not experienced in determining leather quality so I asked my friend Google for advice. First, the finish of the leather bag is smooth and even, obviously having been polished. Evidently, then, this is full-grain hide. I then took a lighter and waved it around the inside of the bag. It didn't burn or shrivel, so it's not synthetic. It smelled like burned leather. It did not discolor at all. The hardware is all brass (I tested it with a magnet). Actually, there are a couple of steel pieces, but they would have not functioned well in brass, e.g. the clips for the strap, rivet pins. One tiny rivet on the zipper pull came apart, but that will be easily replaced by a Chicago screw. Other than that, the hardware is all solid and immobile. Stitching is very good, machine done (according to my wife). I asked for the addition of 8 strap guides to make it easier to strap onto my motorcycle "Sissybar". They had no problem making the modification and it was accomplished in a day or two (see pics). The bag is awesome and it is a good price.

I absolutely love it !!! ❤❤❤❤ My daughter loves it! She went with her friends this weekend to mountains camping and took the bag. It’s amazing quality, great and beautiful. The Leather is superb. Delivered very fast. Thank you so much for the surprise notebook.

Got this Military Duffle today from KRAFTSMEN little customized besides the original one. Without any doubt leather used is high-quality inside out. Very well crafted. Excellent customer support. Shipped quickly and was very well packed. Highly recommended.
